This online course is designed for individuals who operate a small water treatment and distribution system. The course will introduce the individual to the basics of groundwater treatment, disinfection, water testing, pumps, and distribution system components. The Saskatchewan Small Systems Certification exam is not included as part of this course. Operators seeking to write the certification exam need to contact their local regional college or any Saskatchewan Polytechnic campus. This course will appeal to those involved in the application, enforcement, sales, installation and testing of backflow preventers. The first part of the course deals with the principles of cross connections, application of devices and current regulations and bylaws. The balance of time is dedicated to hands-on testing in our Cross Connection Control Manual (75% required for successful completion).

Exam on last day of class. In Saskatoon, this course will also be delivered when the minimum number of students has been reached. To place your name on the interest list or obtain more information, call 306-659-4195 in Saskatoon or 306-775-7475 in Regina. You will be contacted to arrange dates and times when the interest list has a sufficient number of people. Please bring proper eye protection, work gloves and work boots.
