Vice-President, Strategy and Business Development
Dr. Dennis Johnson
As vice-president, Strategy and Business Development, Dr. Dennis Johnson brings 26 years of post-secondary experience to the role. Having first joined Saskatchewan Polytechnic in 2008 as dean of Industrial Training, Dr. Johnson brought a wealth of knowledge to the position and looked to improve program delivery and the student experience. He has also served as interim associate vice-president, Academic and Research and interim associate vice-president, Student Services.
He is a leader in educational administration and for more than 15 years has led significant program development initiatives, including new diploma programs and two baccalaureate degree programs.
Dr. Johnson is a member of several community, provincial and national advisory or working committees and boards. Prior to joining Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Dennis worked at Thompson Rivers University, Okanagan University College and Mohawk College.
He is a lifelong learner, since completing a Red Seal trade qualification in carpentry, he also completed a Bachelor of Education from Brock University, a Master of Education from Memorial University and a PhD in Educational Administration from the University of Saskatchewan.
