You will examine the various intrauterine devices and practice safely inserting them. You will discuss the risks and benefits of each device. You will review the theory related to indications, contraindications, insertion and complications related to insertions of IUDs. Upon successful completion of the quiz you will arrange to practice the skills in your clinical setting with your employer. The course is offered online and is self-study. To register for this course you must be eligible for licensure within your jurisdiction as a nurse practitioner.
