    Sask Polytech summer trades camps introduce girls to trades - July 12, 2018 – Girls ages 12-15 are attending week-long trades and technology camps at Saskatchewan Polytechnic this month. Girls Exploring Trades and Technology (GETT) camps provide participants with a safe, supportive environment to explore the tools, equipment and skills needed for a trades and technology career. GETT campers are taught a variety of trades and technology skills with the final project being a desk made of recycled pallets.

    Mind Over Metal welding camp at Sask Polytech set to spark change - July 12, 2018 –The Saskatchewan Polytechnic Women in Trades and Technology (WITT) program has partnered with the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) Welding Foundation to host a Mind Over Metal welding summer camp for girls in grades 9-12. The week-long camp is being hosted at Sask Polytech campuses.

Sask Polytech students win big on the racetrack

Saskatchewan Polytechnic students have proven they have what it takes on the raceway. The SaskEco Urban Concept car finished in second place at the Shell Eco-marathon Americas Challenge at Sonoma Raceway in California in April. This win also means these Sask Polytech students become the first Canadian team to earn a spot in the final competition in London, England this July.

Students achieve success in national and international space design competitions

In what will be Saskatchewan’s first student-designed satellite mission, a University of Saskatchewan-led space design team has been chosen by the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) to design, build, launch and operate a small cube-shaped research satellite for launch by rocket in 2022.

Saskatchewan Polytechnic eco car finishes second at Sonoma Raceway

April 25, 2018 - Saskatchewan Polytechnic students have proven they have what it takes on the raceway. The SaskEco Urban Concept car finished in second place at the Shell Eco-Marathon Americans Challenge at the Sonoma Raceway in California last week. The energy efficiency competition brought together over 1,000 students from across North and South America. The placing marks the first Canadian car to earn a spot in the final competition in London, England this July.
