Sask Polytech summer trades camps introduce girls to tradesCommunications and Marketing - July 12, 2018
July 12, 2018 – Girls ages 12-15 are attending week-long trades and technology camps at Saskatchewan Polytechnic this month. Girls Exploring Trades and Technology (GETT) camps provide participants with a safe, supportive environment to explore the tools, equipment and skills needed for a trades and technology career. GETT campers are taught a variety of trades and technology skills with the final project being a desk made of recycled pallets.

Earlier this month, Saskatchewan Polytechnic students representing a variety of programs participated in the 24th Skills Canada National competition — an Olympic-style competition that celebrates student skills in more than 40 trade and technology areas. Sask Polytech received six medals.
Welding students showcase their work at Hannin Creek Education and Applied Research CentreCommunications and Marketing - June 21, 2018
New steel gates and a bridge were recently constructed by students from Sask Polytech’s Welding program at Prince Albert Campus. The gates and bridge will be put to good use at Hannin Creek, an educational and research facility just north of Prince Albert located on Candle Lake.
Sask Polytech students constructing fourth Habitat for Humanity homeCommunications and Marketing - June 5, 2018
June 5, 2018 – In April Saskatchewan Polytechnic carpentry students started construction on fourth Habitat for Humanity home. Last month Level 2 Carpenter apprentices completed the framing and exterior finish of the house as part of their technical training.
