Career Exploration & Planning Workshop

For prospective and registered Sask Polytech students.

This 2 hour workshop will involve both paper and online exercises on:

  • Knowing yourself–identifying your interests, values and preferences
  • Researching the labour market with the help of internet
  • Researching education and training with the help of internet
  • Creating a career action plan

Participants who come to this workshop may include:

  • Prospective students who are unclear of a career direction and/or a program choice
  • Prospective students who have chosen a career direction and/or program; however, may still be unsure of their choice  and/or may have done very little of a career exploration and planning process
  • Registered students who are unsure of their current career direction and/or program choice and/or may have done very little of a career exploration and planning process
  • Registered students who are completing their current program of choice, but are unclear as to their future career direction

There is a maximum of 10 workshop participants. Participants are recommended to have basic computer skills. If English is not a first language, participants are recommended to have CLB 7 or higher. Participants are to bring their own writing supplies - pens and paper.
