The course provides an overview of the current practices and procedures
of therapeutic recreation when working with individuals with children and
youth. The etiology, symptoms and characteristics of a number of common
childhood-related and youth-related populations will be examined. You
will then explore the role of therapeutic recreation services in supporting
these individuals in a variety of settings.
