This online course is designed for individuals who operate a small wastewater collection and treatment system. The course will introduce the individual to lagoon operation and maintenance, pumps, and sewage collection system components. The Saskatchewan Small Systems Certification exam is not included as part of this course. Operators seeking to write the certification exam need to contact their local regional college or any Saskatchewan Polytechnic campus. The first part of the course deals with the principles of cross connections, application of devices and current regulations and bylaws. The balance of time is dedicated to hands-on testing in our Cross Connection Control Lab. Exam to be written on last day of class. 75% required for successful completion. Please bring proper eye protection, work gloves and work boots. Recertification is required every five years.
