Microsoft Programs

Course is intended for people new to Microsoft Word and is designed to help you obtain the basic skills required to create professional looking letters and memos. Learn to create, edit, format, print and review short documents. You will learn to apply basic page, paragraph and character formatting options, create a document from a template, insert pictures and clip art, create a simple table and merge a mailing list to produce labels. Hands-on exercises allow you to practice these skills.

Prerequisites: Basic computer skills or Computer Basics class

Related Courses

This course is for students who already have an understanding of the basic features of Microsoft Access. In this course, you will extend your knowledge into some of the more specialized and advanced capabilities of Access which add functionality to your database and will save you time. Topics include: structuring existing data, writing advanced queries, using macros to automate common tasks, and enhancing forms and reports. Hands-on exercises during class will allow you to practice these skills. You will receive a manual for your future reference.

Prerequisites: Access Introduction or equivalent experience using Access in the workplace

Increase your productivity and apply advanced analysis techniques to more complex data sets by using more of the built in features of Microsoft Excel. Topics include: using functions; pivot and input tables; sorting and filtering numeric data, advanced charts and macros. Hands-on exercises during class will allow you to practice these skills.
