Medical Radiologic Technology
Medical Radiologic Technology is a diploma program that provides knowledge and skill development in understanding and applying the principles of science and medicine as they relate to medical radiography. You will become technically competent with the techniques and equipment used in diagnostic imaging departments. You will study anatomy and physiology, X-ray equipment, photographic process, pathology, radiobiology and protection, and radiological and radiographic techniques, professionalism and patient care. It includes 50 weeks of clinical experience.
Graduates are eligible to write the national certification exam set by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and for membership in the Saskatchewan Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (SAMRT).
Selected courses in this program are available through distance and/or continuing education. The program is available full-time at Saskatchewan Polytechnic campus in Saskatoon. For complete program information, check the program page.
This is a high demand program. The application period is October 1 to February 15 each academic year. Application is currently restricted to Canadian residents.
