    Solar Panel Demonstration Site Brings Environmental Sustainability One Step Closer - Solar Panel Demonstration Site Brings Environmental Sustainability One Step Closer Saskatoon Light and Power (SL&P), in partnership with the Saskatchewan Environmental Society Cooperative/Solar Co-Op Ltd. (SES-SESSC) and Saskatchewan Polytechnic have created one of the province’s first power generation co-operatives at the Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Demonstration Site, part of the Landfill Gas Collection and Power Generation System.

    Women in Trades & Technology at Saskatchewan Polytechnic - Women in Trades & Technology at Saskatchewan Polytechnic Dedicated to increasing the number of women in Saskatchewan trades and technology for 30 years INTRO The Saskatchewan Polytechnic Women in Trades & Technology WITT program was greatly influenced by the women who founded Saskatchewan Tradeswomen in the 1970s, a movement that eventually formed Saskatchewan Women in Trades and Technology (SaskWITT). These women were leaders in a national movement to bring like-minded women together to remove barriers in traditionally male occupations. Sask Polytech’s WITT program has evolved over the past 30 years, but the goal remains the same: encourage and assist women interested in trades and technology careers.

April 24, 2017 - Several students from the Mechanical and CAD/CAM Engineering Technology programs designed, built and tested an ultra-fuel-efficient vehicle, which gets its world debut on April 27 in Detroit at the Shell Eco-Marathon. This is the first time Saskatchewan Polytechnic has ever competed in the marathon, and hopefully it won’t be the last.

March 10, 2017 – Olds College and Saskatchewan Polytechnic signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today that will explore the demand for new collaborative programming and applied research into intelligent agriculture. Specifically both parties will work together to provide a foundation of collaboration that will advance agricultural training, applied research and commercialization in Western Canada.

They'll set eyes on a beautifully restored 1955 Mercury M100 antique truck that was just one of many vehicles students in the Auto Body Technician and Automotive Service Technician (AST) certificate programs laboured over the last year.

Saskatchewan Polytechnic is hosting its annual career fair in Regina today. Students from the Schools of Academic and Career Education; Business; Construction; Health Sciences; Human Services and Community Safety; Information and Communications Technology; Mining, Energy and Manufacturing; Nursing; and Transportation will have the opportunity to explore employment options with recruiting companies. Career Fair 2015, presented by PotashCorp, was organized by the Regina campus Student Employment Services (SES) office. An SES office at each of Saskatchewan Polytechnic's four campuses provides career information and job search and recruitment services to students and employers. “Our career fair is a chance for employers from across Western Canada to showcase what they have to offer students,” says Sandra Szeponski, employment services coordinator, Saskatchewan Polytechnic Regina Campus. “The networking opportunity for both parties is invaluable.”
