    Paul Hill receives honorary diploma at Regina Convocation - Paul Hill receives honorary diploma at Regina Convocation As president of The Hill Companies since 1978, Paul has achieved a number of noteworthy successes over the years. One of his most significant achievements was acquiring controlling interest of Crown Life in 1990 and moving the company to Regina from Toronto. The acquisition not only brought 1,200 jobs to Regina, it also expanded Saskatchewan’s GDP by two per cent and the city’s GDP by ten per cent. Crown Life is now owned by Canada Life and remains a significant presence in Regina.

June 22, 2017 – Tomorrow, Saskatchewan Polytechnic will celebrate the accomplishments of 1,162 graduates along with award recipients at the Regina campus convocation. Almost 366 students will be in attendance at Regina the convocation ceremony.

    Sask Polytech hosts National Aboriginal Day celebrations across the province - Saskatchewan Polytechnic is proud to support our Indigenous students, faculty and staff as we celebrate Indigenous culture on National Aboriginal Day. “National Aboriginal Day is an important event for Saskatchewan Polytechnic,” says Dr. Larry Rosia, president and CEO. “Approximately 18 percent of our student population counts itself as having Indigenous ancestry. Taking time to observe and celebrate our Indigenous culture enriches the institution’s diversity, which is one of our greatest strengths.”

First graduates of the Swift Current option of the SCBScN program celebrate achievements with a pinning ceremony Pinning ceremony is a graduation tradition for nursing that originated in the 1860s June 1, 2017 – On Friday the first cohort of students from the Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing (SCBScN) program who completed their four years of education in Swift Current will celebrate their graduation by being presented with a nursing pin. The time-honoured tradition of the nursing pin began at the Nightingale School of Nursing and is a symbol of honour, courage, dedication and privilege of being a nurse.

A recipe for realism New cookbook outlines recipes for making realistic fluids and materials for use in a simulated learning environment High-tech mannequins and healthcare technologies beeping at different intervals are an integral part of Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s simulation labs, where health sciences and nursing students learn and study. The one thing missing from these applied learning, high-tech labs were materials and substances that simulate the bodily fluids and textures of practicing health care on a real human being.
