    FSIN partners with Saskatchewan Polytechnic to focus on Indigenous student success - Fsin Partners With Sask. Polytech To Focus On Indigenous Student Success (Treaty 6 Territory, Saskatoon, SK) — The Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FSIN) and Saskatchewan Polytechnic (Sask. Polytech) signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to set a framework to promote the Inherent and Treaty Right to Education for First Nations students and implementing the calls to action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada.

Penny Jean Wohlberg is a journeyperson carpenter and owner of Renovation Jeannie. She is also a strong supporter of Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s Women in Trades & Technology (WITT) program. “For me it all started with WITT,” says Penny. “WITT is all about empowering women and giving them confidence. WITT was the catalyst that kick-started my career in the trades.”

Saskatchewan Polytechnic and Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation & Education Centre West released 250 rescued snakes at the Condie Nature Refuge this afternoon. These snakes were rescued from a Regina house beginning in late November.

Brightspace, by Desire2Learn (D2L) is a dynamic online integrated learning platform now available to students in all 577 online credit courses offered at Sask Polytech. This contemporary, user-friendly program helps students and instructors stay connected 24/7 though computers, tablets and mobile devices.

Saskatchewan Polytechnic is hosting its annual career fair in Prince Albert today. Students from the Schools of Academic and Career Education; Business; Construction; Health Sciences; Hospitality and Tourism; Human Services and Community Safety; Information and Communications Technology; Mining, Energy and Manufacturing; Natural Resources and Built Environment; and Nursing will have the opportunity to explore employment options with recruiting companies. Career Fair 2015, presented by PotashCorp, was organized by the Prince Albert campus Student Employment Services (SES) office. An SES office at each of Saskatchewan Polytechnic's four campuses provides career information and job search and recruitment services to students and employers.
