    Dinner helps Prince Albert students connect with industry and prepare for future careers - Dinner helps Prince Albert students connect with industry and prepare for future careers Sask Polytech business and industry dinner develops students networking skills and raises funds for financial assistance programs December 13, 2017 – Saskatchewan Polytechnic Business and Industry Dinners presented by Graham provide a valuable applied learning opportunity for students to build networks for their future careers. Employers in attendance are provided the opportunity to meet with potential future hires. This year’s keynote speaker is Sask Polytech Forest Ecosystem Technology and Resource and Environmental Law alumnus Chase Davies.

    Advisory to Public: Combined Agency Special Teams Training - Members of Regina Police Service Emergency Services teams will be conducting training in Regina tomorrow: Tuesday, December 12, 2017, together with personnel from Saskatchewan Polytechnic and STARS air ambulance. This advisory is being issued in order to reassure members of the public that the sight of police members in tactical gear, numerous police vehicles, and a STARS helicopter at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Regina campus, Parkway Building, 4635 Wascana Pky, tomorrow (December 12th) is part of scenario-based training. This training exercise will commence at approximately 8:45 a.m. and will conclude at approximately 2:00 p.m.

    Queen’s University and Saskatchewan Polytechnic expand learning pathways for mining students - Queen’s University and Saskatchewan Polytechnic expand learning pathways for mining students Queen’s partnership with Saskatchewan Polytechnic enables students to complete diploma and degree within five years November 29, 2017 – Recently Queen’s University and Saskatchewan Polytechnic signed their first transfer credit agreement allowing students from 11 different School of Mining, Energy and Manufacturing diploma programs to advance their education at Queen’s University. After completing one of the 11 approved School of Mining, Energy and Manufacturing diploma programs at Sask Polytech, graduates who meet entry requirements will have the opportunity to transfer into Queen’s online Bachelor of Mining Engineering Technology (BTech) program. As a result, students would be able to graduate with both a Sask Polytech diploma and a Queen’s University degree after only five years of study.

In 2014-15 Sask Polytech experienced a 17 per cent increase in program enrolments over the past five academic years and a seven per cent increase from last year. It's been a historic year for our school as we transitioned from SIAST, a technical institution, to Saskatchewan Polytechnic, the province's first polytechnic. The name change is symbolic of the new direction we are taking as the province's premiere public institution of applied learning and applied research. We are extremely proud of all we accomplished the last academic year. We want you to share some of your favourite memories!
