    Collaboration idea takes flight

    A University of Regina engineering class, focussed on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), is helping lay the groundwork for further collaborations between the U of R and Saskatchewan Polytechnic. The class, ENIN 495, teaches the theory, mechanics, construction and control of quadcopters, which are unmanned aerial vehicles.

    Sask Polytech enjoyed being the visionary sponsor of TEDx, an event created in the spirit of TED's mission, “ideas worth spreading.” Sask Polytech Natural Resources program head and instructor, Dr. Hamilton Greenwood, was one of 13 TEDx speakers. Using his incredible wildlife photography, Hamilton explained how we can create better functioning communities and organizations if we take a moment to learn from nature by being mindful, embracing diversity and taking care of the unique.
