    Saskatchewan Polytechnic leverages expertise with new degree program Bachelor of Construction Management students to begin in September 2018 September 20, 2017 – Today Saskatchewan Polytechnic celebrates the launch of its new degree program, the Bachelor of Construction Management. This is the second stand-alone degree developed in direct response to labour market demand.

    Habitat for Humanity prepares to move third home for Prince Albert families Habitat for Humanity, Prince Albert, and Saskatchewan Polytechnic prepare to move third home June 5, 2017 – Today Habitat for Humanity and Saskatchewan Polytechnic had a sod turning event as they prepare to move their third Habitat for Humanity house to its permanent home. Last month Level 2 Carpenter apprentices completed the framing and exterior finish of the house as part of their technical training.

    Second Sask Polytech, Habitat for Humanity home is moved to permanent location

    Earlier today the second Habitat for Humanity home was moved to its permanent location in Prince Albert. This is the second house Saskatchewan Polytechnic carpentry students have built for Habitat for Humanity. In February 2015, Saskatchewan Polytechnic and Habitat for Humanity, Prince Albert, signed a memorandum of agreement for carpentry students to build five houses in five years. Under the five-year plan, the students will frame houses and install windows, exterior doors, siding, soffits and shingles.

    Students learn applied skills and the value of giving back to the community Building five houses over five years for Habitat for Humanity, Prince Albert, may seem like a big commitment, but it’s something Saskatchewan Polytechnic was eager to agree to. Now work has begun on the second house, it’s clear Sask Polytech carpentry faculty and students are committed to providing families with homes.
